Is there any way around the 30-character limit for my display name? It seems like a few people around here have longer names, but I've checked the oppo tips posts and can't find any info.

I'm pretty sure the longer names are grandfathered. Once they made the switch to Kinja, the limit started, and those who changed their long names could not change back.

I used to have several long names before they put the limit in place, but then I figured that simplifying and adding lightness was a better idea.
